I've seen it twice, on Broadway and in Chicago. Both performances were amazing-- I saw Ana Gasteyer as Elphaba in Chicago and she was sooo good. The music is stunning (as are all Stephen Schwartz's musicals) and the sets awesome.
I can't get enough of the music on my ipod! They really changed the story a lot from the book, and it's MUCH better in the book. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it!

I saw it in St. Louis and really enjoyed it. There is a big difference between it and the book it's based on however, and I had read the book many many years ago and really loved it. The book has a lot more detail than the play.
I missed some of the things that they had left out, but still enjoyed the play. My mom took me as an early Christmas present, and we had a wonderful time. I even had to make sure and get a playbook, so that I had a souvenior of it.
If you haven't read the book it's based on, it's a definite read! I enjoyed Wicked a lot, especially... Kristen Chenoweth as Glinda. I know many people preferred Idina Menzel's role and voice - and she certainly is excellent. But I agree with the New York That's Kristin Chenoweth, who is currently giving jaw-dropping demonstrations of the science of show-biz aeronautics in ''Wicked,'' the Technicolorized sermon of a musical that opened last night at the Gershwin Theater.
Playing Glinda the Good Witch in this equally arch and earnest show, a revisionist look at ''The Wizard of Oz,'' Ms. Chenoweth must put across jokes and sight gags that could make angels fall. Never for a second, though, does she threaten to crash to earth.
Even lying down, Ms. Chenoweth -- who performed similar magic in ''You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown'' four years ago (and won a Tony) -- remains airborne, proving that in the perilous skies of Broadway, nothing can top undiluted star power as aviation fuel. Be grateful, very grateful, that Ms.
Chenoweth, who spent a brief exile in the land of sitcoms, has returned to the stage with none of the routinized glibness associated with weekly television. She provides the essential helium in a bloated production that might otherwise spend close to three hours flapping its oversized wings without taking off. ...Yet it's hard to avoid the impression that whenever Ms.
Chenoweth leaves the stage, ''Wicked'' loses its wit, while its swirling pop-eretta score sheds any glimmer of originality. There are visual and verbal jokes aplenty throughout this thorned re-creation of Baum's enchanted land, where Glinda and Elphaba get to know each other long before a little brat named Dorothy shows up. But more often than not, the humor brings to mind a slightly sweaty young college professor with a social conscience, hoping to win over his students by acting funky and cracking wise.

I saw it and loved it! I saw it at the Pantages in Hollywood as well when it had it's first run there. I had listened to the music before seeing the live show and was just plain blown away by what I saw on stage (the sets, the singing, the story are all just fabulous!).

Yes! Wicked is my favorite show of all time. I had read the book a couple years prior and loved that too.
I recommend it to everyone. I saw the OBC with Idina and Kristin and am so grateful to have been able to experience that.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
