Who is a "Mortgagee" and who is the "Mortgagor"?

The term Mortgagee refers to the legal entity (individual or company) that lends money to the Borrower for the purchase of the property. The Mortgagee holds the mortgage note and is eligible to receive interest and principal payments according to the terms and condition the contract. The Mortgagor on the other hand, is the legal entity that is the Borrower in the same purchase transaction and agrees to make payments to the Mortgagee according to the same terms and conditions of the contract.
