National teams and Olympic teams are different. The reason is that in National teams there is no restriction but in Olympic teams all players, except for 3 should be younger than 23. In the US Olympic team there are 3 players who are above 23 and they are: three-time World Cup veteran McBride, along with goalkeeper Brad Guzan and defender Michael Parkhurst.
They are called "overage players". Boca Raton, Fla.
