I'm going to assume you are talking about the Hockey coach (National Hockey League's New York Islanders), and not the Canadian Football Safety (Edmonton Eskimos). Born February 6, 1963, Scott Gordon used to be a professional goaltender and now coaches professional hockey. He was the former coach for the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins and now coaches the NHL's New York Islanders.
Aside from his coaching career, he also made national hockey history as being one of the first goalies to have waterbottles atop the goal. A presumably minor feat, but a trend-setter to say the least. Before his NHL career, he receieved the coach of the year award in 2008 AHL (Louis A.R.Pieri Memorial Award).
Due to his teams success he was also granted, alongside his assistant coach, to coach the All-Star team in 2008. If it was the Canadian Safety, check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Gordon_(football_player).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
