Who is the best kicker in the NFL?

Arguably the best kicker in the NFL today is Sebastian Janikowski of the Oakland Raiders who few months ago received a new four-year, $16 million contract. Included in the deal was a large sum of guaranteed money and the deal removed from the market perhaps the top kicker in football. Over the span of his career the kicker has scored more 1,000 points and many of his field goals have been instrumental in the course of Raiders victories.

He was drafter as a top player for his current team few seasons back in a move that was considered to be puzzling back then but today it seems to have paid off quite well for the player and for the franchise. More than one player being the best linebacker in the NFL today, two names are worth mentioning, Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs, two players that were nominated to the Pro Bowl few days back.
