Who is the Official Custodian for charities?

The Official Custodian for Charities (the OC) is a member of the Commission's staff who is appointed by the Commissioners to hold land and, in a few special cases, investments on behalf of charities. Subject to the provisions of the 1993 Act, the OC has all the same powers, duties, and liabilities of a custodian trustee, is entitled to the same rights and immunities, and is subject to the control and Orders of the Court.
