The Marshall Mathers LP brings up interesting persona questioning. The last album, The Slim Shady LP held yet another. This is where it gets confusing.
Marshall Mathers is Eminem's given name. From what I have gathered, Eminem is just his performing name, not a character. Slim Shady represents the epitome of "I don't give a damn," and is crazier than "Eminem and Kim combined."
So here is our first major difference. There is supposed to be a character difference between Eminem and Slim Shady. Slim Shady is who I thought the sell-out wasthe guy who goes on MTV to "tell it like it is," (or what his audience wants to hear) by dissing *N Sync ("am I the only one who realizes they stink?").
The first single represents the Slim Shady persona:Every single person has a Slim Shady lurkin' he could be working at Burger King spitting on your onion rings or in the parking lot circlin' screaming 'I don't give a fuck' with his windows down and his system upSlim Shady is the angry white boy raised ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
