Even though Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his son Joseph are in the OT, the OT didn't exist for a long time after. The Torah (the first 5 books) came first, supposedly at the time of Moses, although some scholars say the story in the Book of Job was told even earlier. Anyway, Abraham's parents were idol worshippers.
After that, the ancient Jews were henotheistic, not polytheistic. That means they had THEIR God, but didn't completely deny the existence of the lesser gods of their neighbors. And, to some extent, there was slippage, especially among women, who felt the need to accept the Canaanite fertility goddess.
The lack of complete dedication to the one God of Abraham was considered the reason for the Babylonian Exile, which then caused the Jewish people to become strictly monotheistic. And, it was during the Babylonian Exile that the Tanakh was assembled. Keep in mind that the OT is NOT a history book.
There are kernels of history in it, but it's mostly legends. So, while Noah is a fictional character, he is portrayed as believing in the ONE God of Creation. But he is NOT considered to be Jewish.
Abraham is considered to be the first Jew. He is portrayed as having been circumcised -- Noah was not. So, I hope that explains things well enough.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
