2 George Carlin, who is greatly missed. Of the current crop, none can begin to be even half as good as he was.
3 Oh thats easy Grandmabx,it has to be this guy....youtube.com/watch?v=B7eYnDddsic .
If I didn’t know before his death that he was my favorite comic, when I went to dig out all my Carlin albums, it became clear to me. It’s tempting to say that some times when you’ve recently lost a talent, your estimation of them becomes exagerated in comparison to others who have been long lost or who are still around. But having listened to his material again, everything I could get my hands on, I don’t listen to it in a sad way, I don’t even think about him being gone when I hear it...I just let the brilliance of his observations and his command of linguisitics wash over me, grab hold of me, and make it undeniable to me that NO ONE has ever managed to accomplish what he has done as a commedian.
Abbott and Costello from 'way back when. George Carlin is probably my favorite single comedian of all-time. Bill Cosby put out some good stuff in the '60's though.
I don't see anyone today that's all that funny. Even Jeff Foxworthy who was funny as could be a few years ago has gone downhill. OldHippieHatesNewAV 53 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
