No, as there is more to gain in the Phoenix market. It shows the potential for increased season ticket sales(they are already ahead of their renewal rate from last season) and the potential for more corporate sponsors which would translate to more revenue. It also shows that the team can be competitive with low player costs, which could be attractive to a potential owner.
The Blackhawks also lost money the year they won the Stanley Cup, even with an average attendance of 21,356 (though their actual *paid* attendance has historically been several thousand below that) edit- fixed an error.
Yeah, I'm cheering for them too. I lived in the 'peg back in the day and I have good memories of seeing the Jets play with Her Majesty looking on, so I like seeing Doane, Selanne and Special K still in the game. Yeah, it would sure make things awkward if the Coyotes win the Stanley Cup and they still can't find a buyer willing to keep them in Glendale.
I can't see how winning the Stanley Cup would be a bad thing...but winning it didn't ensure the financial viability of the Metros or Cougars, etc. etc. Therefore winning the Stanley Cup, but yet going broke is nothing new at all.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
