This year, at least according to Yahoo Fantasy Football rankings it is quite the race between a handful of quarterbacks. The absolute top performer is San Diego Chargers’ QB Phillip Rivers. Rivers has put up the kind of numbers you rarely see anymore and it is interesting to note that his team has not had nearly as good a season collectively as he has had individually.

Rivers has currently passed for 4,141 yards, 29 touchdowns and has completed 66 percent of his passes. Considering how often he has put up the ball through the air the fact that he has only thrown 11 interceptions. The player who is ranked second to Rivers is currently Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers his ability to run (over 300 yards) adds quite a bit to his fantasy points.
