You may think this is only my opinion, but it also seems to be the opinion of about a million and a half viewers and NBC, since they let Conan go but would not Let Leno go. Everyone, myself included, thinks that Jay will most likely come back and start kicking Letterman around in the ratings again, just like he did for the last 16 years, because, in that time slot, Jay is the best. Conan has reacted rather well, of course what is he getting to leave, 30 million or something?
Now maybe Conan will show up at Fox. It's all veeerrrrry interesting. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZeZr96ChKs&feature=PlayList&p=2184ECA8D5D04194&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=16.
I'm not trying to be wishy-washy, but it's more a matter of taste, not who is better. Jay is a terrific entertainer and a great stand-up comedian. Conan is a little looser with his style, not afraid to put his dignity on the line. It's common knowledge that Conan had his slot from 1993 to 2009 before moving up to Jay's slot, and was a writer for Saturday Night Live before that.
So, he's no newcomer to the comedy and talk-show offerings. I do think that since Jay has had to tone it down for Prime Time, he's lost a bit of his edge, which I enjoyed. It will be good to have him back.
I think both are equal. I enjoy them back to back, in either order. I think Conan would do better at online stuff, while Jay shines on TV.
I think Conan is better. I have watched his show late night with Conan O'Brien. He really rocks the show.
I'd have to say Conan, because ever since the mid- to late-90's, Leno's Tonight Show was just something I watched if I had nothing better to do before Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Even then I'd occasionally channel surf beforehand, hoping to find something else.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
