You're and interesting guy JD Hatred. "I personally come to discover that the world isn't hating like it should. I have taken up the goal of understanding this and in a healthy, positive manner- I'm bringing hatred back."
That is quite a challenge and you may be right, you may be wrong, but I am sure the idea of a reformulating and remodeling the way one feels and expresses hatred is not only worth checking out and attempting to complete but might be essential and long overdue. Hate as a good thing? That just seems on its surface to be so not the right thing to do but when we consider that we all have emotions and all of the emotions we have are valid and have their own right to be expressed then hate is long overdue and it could be the most repressed emotion of all time...Hate needs a way to come out that helps not hurts Hate is such a powerful emotion and 99.9% of us who have felt hate and expressed it outwardly have found that any common expression of hate is not exactly met by the public and/or the law with open arms.
I'd like to see hate get another chance and who knows a refocused and now positive outward expression of hate might be just the thing we need to open up a few doors that have been long closed due to a lack the new sets of eyes that a radically new positive expression of hate might bring. Can hate be a good thing? I just love the taste of that sentence, like cherry flavored broken glass."Hate= Change.
Negative Hate= Ignorance, Regression, Decimation. Positive Hate= Growth, Progression, Improvement. You rarely see a need to change something until you decide you hate what you have.
The key is to harbor positive motivations for this and direct it from there. " Hopefully this reformulation of hate by being in your hands is in the best hands for the job because it cannot go without saying that hate as we know it will just not do and the room for misuse of a project like this, the potential for the manipulation of the weak minded, and the perceived justification for same old same old expression of hate might be found in here by those choosing to to twist the motives. But you're right if Timberlake can bring sexy back, then you can bring hatred back... carefully.
Well, in a way I agree with you about hate, but I should explain myself. I'm a passionate person, and you sound like one too. We get worked up over injustices and wrongs that shouldn't exist.
We hate the fact that some people can walk all over others and suffer no consequences. We hate the imbalances in life and feel the need to express it, and influence the ones we can. It takes a strong mind to see every shade in life, from pure black to pure white and all the greyness in between. It is indeed acceptable to hate some things in life and work towards fixing them.
It takes strength to go against the grain and to stand firm in your convictions. In fact nearly everything in life can be seen in terms of the things we hate, even if they are by hating the absence of goodness like reason or love or empathy. I hate spammers.
I want to be a 419 eater but I'm scared of doing it badly and getting burnt myself. I hate the way they prey on the innocent online and old people and kids. I hate the way companies use spam to advertise.
.... you get the point. My hate directed at them means I help the people around me avoid them! I teach them about spammers and scammers and impart my knowledge and experience in the desire to help.
I still hate them with a passion......but I help at the same time, the hate doesn't consume me at all. You are also a discriminating person. You have strong values and are not shy in stating them.
I discriminate. It's not a bad thing, its a good thing. As long as I discriminate on matters that count ( I don't associate with criminals for example but I don't discriminate on the basis of skin or clothes or how many tattoos someone has - my daughter will be a work of art I'm sure, she loves her ink ). As long as we use these emotions and values for good then it's good to hate the things we hate ... if you know what I mean.
Sure it's a broad generalisation but life isn't made in little boxes with labels on them. It's made up of strange events, unpredictable consequences, boring bits and our emotions. So I say be strong in what you're good at and if you are good at hating the things that are wrong in this world, then go for it! And JD Hatred, the only thing I would ask is that you use this emotion with empathy and understanding because without those feelings you will become a sad lonely person in the end....
What does not kill us makes us stronger. " I hate that you had to go thru hell - I don't wish it on anyone, however, it takes an incredibly strong person to come out the other side wiser and a better person for the experience. You're an intersting fellow and I'm looking forward to seeing your future posts. As a side note, I've heard you mention a few times that you're a tattoo artist.
I'd love to get some work done with you - I think that would be cool to be tattooed by a member of our Mahalo community. What styles do you do? Traditional?
Eastern? Comix? Perhaps grafiti style?
I'd love to see your work. Fortunately, travel is not an issue, I work for an airline, so I could come to you. We'll discuss.
Does your past influence your art?
I was sure it was because you wear a red hat, JD.
I called JD because I can't control myself.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
