I agree with JMITW too. However, whetehr your son is high function or moderate, autism is an austism, meaning, difficulty in grey answer making, and they all are in need of support, in order to make proper desisions in daily life. My son has high function.
But, this does not mean he needs less support at all. He is so much in need of help, he is constantly followed by SNA. He is just good at academic things, that is all.
High function, sounds better than moderate. But, to me, my observation confirms that what's most important is their original personality. Supposing you son is low function, yet has a quiet personality, then it is not so hard to manage.
My son, who has high function, has outspoken personality, and he disputse with anybody, very hard to manage. (because he does not understand "gray" area in communication) so, he is very difficult to manage.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
