Why are hummingbirds called Hummingbirds?

Their wings beat (flap) so fast, they make a noise that sounds like humming. It's a bit like a higher note version of a bee buzzing.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
