Why are some hubs flagged for substandard articles, and other hubs that are Plainly substandard and?

The flagging is mostly done by readers who hub hop so that the staff can take a look at it. Many times the hubs that are really substandard are missed by these readers so they are left that way.

Flagging substandard hubs is HubPages method of allowing hubbers to bring hubs which appear not to meet HP standards to their attention. When a hub is flagged a moderator will take a look at it and then decide whether it is worth leaving or deleting.

There are only a few moderators at HP, but they eventually look at most hubs. Substandard hubs have a detrimental effect on the entire site, this according to Google.

Your decision to flag or not, is off course up to you, but be aware that all flagging does is to bring something to the attention of the moderation team, they are the ones who have the ultimate decision.

Substandard Hubs appear quicker than the moderators can review all the flagged ones. So, eventually these poor quality hubs will be reviewed and removed - but until the staff can get around to them, they'll stay posted.

I'm sure the HubPages team is working as fast as they can to review all of the flagged hubs - so just have patience with them. I don't think its "unfairness" per-say - but just an effect of so many bad hubs and so few people to review them.

If readers don't flag it, then it won't get into the queue for moderators to review it. I personally flag whatever I see that needs flagged. To me, it's not bad karma -- it's bringing it to the attention of the people who wrote it too, and if they're really interested in quality then it gives them an opportunity to learn how to bring it up higher in the standards.Gh-quality hubs make money, substandard ones don't, at least not in the long-term if they ever do.

People who have substandard hubs that don't get flagged may never understand why their hubscore is low or why they don't earn any money.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
