I read once, that the male of the animal species in the wild were more attractive so as to draw attention from their mate who may be sitting on the nest furthering the species. Consider the male cardinal with his bright red plummage. He is immediately recognizable while the female is so dull as not to be found easily amongst the trees.
Which one do you think an attacker would go for?
I think, somewhere in the history of civilization we would find the answer to why the human female seems to be more showy and attractive.
I think it has a relation to sociological context, influencing behavior and appearance.
(Most) Animals and birds don't know things called 'status' and 'certanties'. So in case of animals, the male is more dependant on his appearance, through which he wants to show his better genes towards the female. He must appear better.
In human society, females were historically more dependant towards a man, who could take care of them, and moreof: their children.
So, to be able to attract the propre man, with the status and resources to do all that, they must be able to seduce him. To be able to do that, they always must take care of having the good looks, to strike when 'the rught one' crosses their path.
It's nothing more than a practical matter expressed through evolution.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Nothing is truer than that.
If you mean "beautiful" as in colorful or put together... Males in nature need to be colorful to attract females and lead predators away from their nests/homes. With the colors they can be seen a lot better which allows the mother to keep the children safe. In the case of humans, women weren't really allowed outdoors during certain points in time.
Because of this, they entertained themselves (especially if wealthy) by doing their hair, painting their bodies and working on art forms.
Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. For a woman, she may see a man as beauty. For a man, myself, I see a woman as beauty.
And of course, we have our spouses that we see as most beautiful. Really, it is our perception. However, its widely perceived that women are more beautiful. In fact, some women may notice the beauty in another woman and think to themselves, she is so beautiful.
Then they may hate her as a result. But, thats another story. However, how often do guys talk amongst themselves, "man, that guys is so handsome.
He must really take care of his skin". Basically, I am saying that women and men both know that women are beautiful. Its natural.
Even the world around us such as the mountains and ocean we think of it sometimes to have a feminine quality. Feminity is powerful and women are powerful beings. We should respect their beauty.
The world wouldn't be the same without them. Its the perfect balance. Animals is not really by area of expertise.
But, I know when you say certain males are more attractive creatures than females. Like the male peocock. Again, another great question.
You seem to think of a lot of philosophical questions. I like that. Keep it up Rajan Jolly.
I hope I have answered your question.
It is the way you see it. What might appear beautiful in your eyes need not be beautiful for others. Men find women beautiful and women find men handsome.
This is the way opposites attract and woman appear more beautiful because of the way the way she dresses and the gracious way she conducts herself. It is true in animals it is the male which appears good.
This has primarily to do with what in the opposite gender one immediately responds to in a mate. As well as stereotypically, men are attracted to beauty in a woman, while women are attracted to the security afforded by men.
Because I'm uncomfortable with umbrella statements, however, the caveat is that I can't say this is true for every single human on the planet. I happen to think many men are beautiful, and I would wager that most men do not think all women are beautiful.
Maybe it's just because they care more about their appearance and are more empathetic towards others. Since you did not specify "beautiful" as in looks or as in the person that they are I answered for both.
Females are more beautiful than males because of evolution, and this will continue. Attractive parents have more tendency to have daughters than those couples who are less attractive. Considering that beauty is hereditary, these trend further improves the beauty of females after each generation.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
