The answer is simple, because there are still lots of racist and haters out there. This unfortunate situation isn't just happening on Youtube but on other sites/venues as well... of course except on Mahalo. That's why I love it in here.
Each of us comes from different races but we aren't being judgmental on each other. Another reason to be proud that I'm a Mahaloian. ;) Ok, so going back to the topic, like I said, there are still people out there who still judge other cultures/race just because they're different.
Some people are just being biased... of course they'd always want their own race to be better than others. For instance, there's a video featuring an Asian singing his/her own cover of a certain song. Sometimes, no matter how good the version is, there'll always be negative comments towards it... some being racist saying someone else did the song better or whatever.
Although okay, sometimes there are annoying videos too that deserves to be criticized. Like I said, this just don't happen on Youtube. Racism in the online world is everywhere.
Why? Because people can talk anonymously or use other names that their reputation won't be damaged at all. The end result, they can be mean without being afraid that someone will get mad at them.
Who cares right? The people they're bashing doesn't know them anyway.
Because youtube comments are unmoderated due to its sheer size and volume.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
