Followers of Japanese comics and animation- Manga and Anime - decided they enjoy dressing up as their favorite characters. It's probably one of the most unique things to do in Tokyo - the Japanese pop culture. Street fashion in Tokyo comes from Cosplay - wearing of costumes.

Cosplay comes from the words costume + play. Japanese teenage culture, also called Harajuku fashion, was created in Tokyo, and evolved into an international trend. You may have heard of it in one of its different names - Japanese Youth Culture, Japanese teenage culture and Tokyo Culture.
