Why can't I recycle textiles, household batteries, car batteries and engine oil?

The materials are collected in a one compartment vehicle, it is not possible to collect textiles as they will get mixed up with the glass, which will mean the textiles cannot be recycled. If engine oil were to be collected it would spill out and contaminate the load and leak on to the road. Batteries are classified as hazardous waste and needed to be sorted separately.

All of these items can be taken to our waste and recycling centres and textiles can also be taken to a charity shop.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
