The far right constantly seeks to bury the abysmal performance of the Bush administration after Katrina by comparing it to every blizzard, flood, or other harmful occurrence that has happened since. Events in which local rescue services are still standing and the number of victims in urgent need a tiny fraction of the numbers of Katrina are trotted out and given the same complaints that were made against Bush, even though the need for federal attention is small. It is a shameful travesty.
Facts have no place in a hateful mind. If something fits their agenda, they won't search for facts. This is why America is almost last in the world when it comes to acceptance of evolution and global warming.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
