Why did James Cook want to explore?

It was not so much that James Cook wanted to explore, as that he was chosen to explore. With his experience and skills, he was an ideal candidate for the scientific and exploration missions upon which he set out. S explorations were simply him following orders.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
