Why Did Pat Sajak marry Lesley Sajak and Not Vanna White?

What ever reason he had it is not shared with the viewers. Most people suspect that any romance between Pat and Vanna is wishful thinking on the part of the viewers. Pat met and married Lesley Brown Sajak and has had two children with her and they have had a happy family together for the past 20 years.
