It's further evidence the republican party is breaking into factions that cannot cooperate. Despite clear evidence that Romney has a better chance of beating Obama in the general election, the tea party has gone whole hog for Santorum. It's particularly ironic that Santorum's support comes from the tea party, because Santorum is quite far from the tea party's professed ideals.
Santorum favors more intrusive goverment and more adventurism in foreign affairs. Listening to Santorum talk about Iran is just like listening to Dick Cheney talk about Iraq ten years ago. Do you tea baggers really want to elect a guy who's H3LL bent on starting another war in the middle easet?
.
This is just part of the death throes of the GOP. They have become so irrational that they ignore all polls and insist that the fantasy world they live in is the real one. But don't get too excited about Santorum.
He's won elections that have no meaning, in states who won't decide their delegates until May or June. Most of the primaries are beauty contests. Only some of the primaries actually determine delegates.
Just looking at something that says he won 45% of the vote ignores the fact that that entire vote was less than 1% of the state's population. He's just a garden variety Goldwater Republican(Goldwater lost if you remember, the Reps apparently don't) with a dash of repression of women and theocratic inclinations added.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
