Not only that, but no one is calling Obama a "Chickenhawk" either. Remember how that term was tossed around when Mr. Bush was in office? So our Chickenhawk boy president wants to go to war against the Libyan president eh?
Interesting language from Hillary Clinton taken from the link below: "Clinton spoke to reporters one day after President Barack Obama branded Gaddafi an illegitimate ruler who must leave power immediately. "We want him to leave and we want him to end his regime and call off the mercenaries and those troops that remain loyal to him," she said. "How he manages that is obviously up to him and to his family." "We are just at the beginning of what will follow Gaddafi.
... But we've been reaching out to many different Libyans who are attempting to organize in the east and as the revolution moves westward there as well," Clinton said. "I think it's way too soon to tell how this is going to play out, but we're going to be ready and prepared to offer any kind of assistance that anyone wishes to have from the United States." And there you have it - action under the guise of "assistance" - similar to US involvement in Iran under the guise of "advising."
It is what is not being said that is the problem and you can bet that by inserting ourselves using the excuse that we are there for humanitarian reasons will come back and bite us. More hypocrisy from the Obama administration. From the second link: "Clinton said the administration wanted to keep the American military out of sight because officials wanted to evacuate U.S. diplomats and citizens "in a way that did not raise alarm bells around the region and the world that we were about to invade for oil."
I am not confident that our administration is aware of the damage that could occur should they misread the situation or overreact - which sometimes they are prone to do.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
