Why didn't Kim Davis just resign? What was she trying to prove by keeping her position while refusing marriage licenses to gay couples?

I get and can buy that she has religious beliefs about who should marry. Since she has those beliefs she should never marry a person of the same sex. I can even get that for her it extends to maybe not attending same sex weddings or even being friends with gay people.

Her loss. What I don't get is why anyone thinks they have the right to force others to live by their religious beliefs held on faith. Her job requires she issue licenses to same sex couples.

If she can't do that she can't do her job and should find another that is in keeping with her personal beliefs.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
