Why do airlines only let you print boarding passes within 24 hours of your flight?

It would be so much more convenient if you could print them out whenever you want to! Asked by @Goldie_Bah_Humbug 39 months ago Similar questions: airlines print boarding passes 24 hours flight Games & Leisure > Travel.

Hmmmm Seems like when they got your money, they could let you print the pass. Maybe it has something to do with security. Too much time might allow a hacker to break into the system and steal your seat?

Or, maybe they are just filling up the queue before assigning seats. Or, Maybe it cuts down on the number of programs their computer has to keep up with. Oh, Oh, Oh; I'll bet its because they don't know how big of an airplane to assign to the flight versus what's available, until they have a pretty good idea of how many people are committed to flying.

If my memory is correct, a boarding pass is a legal document that requires them to provide transport. Boatman's Recommendations Fly Me To The Moon Poster Print, 27x41 Fly Me to the Moon Used from: $6.20 .

1 This is conjecture:I'm pretty sure it's based upon actuarial data relating to how long in advance you will print your boarding pass and actually make the flight. For instance, if it's 36 hours in advance, the likelihood goes up that those printing the pass will not show. I suspect, too, that the flights don't come "on line" earlier than that.

That is, the information needed specific to boarding (including gate) probably is not up for processing until roughly a day before the plane takes off. I am also willing to bet that there may be security reasons surrounding it (there always are), but I'm not sure what those would be. Now watch, some flight attendant will answer this and I will be totally off base.

3 We have AA reservations for October that my brother "paid for" with his flyer miles and we can not even get verification and will not have proof of the reservation until we print the passes. I hope it works. I emalied them and they promised an answer, but we never got it.

I think the company is falling apart.

4 It's a pain! I wish they'd let you print one out with a "disclaimer" to check back for updates/changes. I mean, who takes their printer with them when they travel, lol?

So the most you can do is print the first leg of your flight, unless you're willing to email your return leg to a friend or coworker for them to print for you. It seems to almost defeat the purpose.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
