Why do cats meow when they want something...on the ceiling?

I actually think they are calling attention to it to let you know they see something. Now I've no proof but many years of pet ownership.... Its like one of the dogs in the family - she will bark at stuff outside on and on...but if she sees me look through the window she is happy that I know what's out there and stops barking...I have to look in the general direction but she gets the idea, and goes back to sleeping :) I think the cat is doing the same thing...meow meow look what I see! Have to tried staring at it with the cat, then going away?

Does the cat continue staring and meowing or will it decide you've seen it and stop, I'd love to know....but I think that's what they are doing ( especially very friendly cats ).

F you listen carefully, you can hear each meow is different. I'm hungry, I want to go out, Help and I want attention!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
