There are several reasons for you not to -- (1) From the Jewish point of view -- when non-Jews see someone who presents a "Jewish look" they judge all Jews by his actions. So -- until you actually become a Jew, it would be preferable that you do not represent yourself as if you are a Jew. (2) For your own safety -- A 2007 BBC documentary stated that there are an average of 10 anti-semetic attacks weekly.
And the level of anti-semetic action in Britain has been growing steadily since then. In the Haredi ("ultra-Orthodox") neighborhoods there are often "citizen patrols" (who work together with police) that accompany such very visible Jews in situations where attacks are most likely. As an observant Jew, last time I came to England, my son and I both wore non-ethnically distinguished clothing and hats.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
