He sent His son to die on the cross so that EVERYONE can be saved: John 3:16 (New International Version) 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,a that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
You really do touch on a very important issue concerning God's love for everyone. Those Christians, who have a spiritual maturity founded in a relationship (not religion) with God DO understand the fact, that Christians do not have the market cornered on God's love. You tend to have a certain degree of understanding on this point, as reflected in your post.
You can only comprehend what you have posted because you are being led by the Holy Spirit into this knowledge about God's love. It is very apparent to me.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
