They want everything. But every once in a while a Republican like Reagan or Bush 41 wises up and raises taxes to help with the deficit they created. Not a chance with W, though - too much of a rigid ideologue.
We also need to take a hard look at our half-trillion plus military budget. I wouldn't cut to the bone like Ron Paul, but do we really need to maintain our empire with military spending greater than the rest of the world combined?
What adds to our Country's debt is government spending. In order to balance the budget you not only give tax cuts to stimulate the economy, you also cut spending. Something the current administration has a big problem with.
Oh and I can recall what was fueling the deficit, we had this thing called 9-11, check the history books, it was a big thing back then.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
