Why do creationists conspiracy theorists think freemason / illuminati crap has anything to do with atheism?

The question is nonsense. There is no such thing as "illuminati Freemason." There is no connection between Illuminati and Freemasonry at all.

The Illuminati were a group of Bavarian political activists during the Age of Enlightenment that sought to eliminate monarchies and hereditary rule from European governments and replace them with elected representatives. They were formed in 1776, almost immediately outlawed and suppressed by the government, and disbanded a short time later. They don't exist any more, and haven't existed for over 200 years.

Freemasonry is a fraternity. It is the oldest and largest fraternity for men in the world. It is only a fraternity, it does not get involved in politics or matters of state.

There is no single "head" of Freemasonry. There are separate Masonic jurisdictions all over the world, typically corresponding with a country. Each Masonic jurisdiction is governed by its own Grand Lodge.

For example, in England and Wales Freemasonry is governed by the United Grand Lodge of England. In countries that are a confederation of smaller states, there is usually a Grand Lodge jurisdiction for each state. For example, in the United States all 50 states each have their own Grand Lodge, and that is also the case in Canada and Australia where each province has its own Grand Lodge.

The "head" of a Grand Lodge is the Grand Master, in most jurisdiction the Grand Master is elected by the lodges in his jurisdiction and serves a fixed term of anywhere from 1 to 3 years. So the "head" of Freemasonry is the Grand Master, but there are hundreds of Grand Masters all over the world.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
