Why do humans become gay, bi, have certain fetishes, etc., yet other animals do not?

I believe animal is also displaying homosexual behavior. "Animal sexual behaviour takes many different forms, even within the same species. Researchers have observed monogamy, promiscuity, sex between species, sexual arousal from objects or places, sex apparently via duress or coercion, copulation with dead animals, homosexual, heterosexual and bisexual sexual behaviour, and situational sexual behaviour and a range of other practices among animals other than humans.

Related studies have noted diversity in sexed bodies and gendered behaviour, such as intersex and transgender animals. " - from Wikipedia.

Other animals absolutely engage in a wide variety of sexual behavior. Take the Bonobo pygmy chimpanzee for instance, which shares 98% of its genetic makeup with humans. Members of a social group of pygmy chimps will have sex in every sort of pairing or combination possible, regardless of gender or age.

This behavior isn't exclusively found in primates either. Everything from beetles to birds to bats have same-sex relations!

Most animals do not have opposable thumbs and, therefore, cannot manufacture toys and erotica. (Then they wouldn't be able to get it out of the package, either).

Without addressing homosexuality directly, I'll posit that fetishes are the result of extreme emotional attachments formed early in life, often as the result of a traumatic experience. Animals can't form sophisticated emotional attachments to objects (here I use the word 'object' to refer to a mental representation of something) and so there's not much to go wrong. The closest thing to an animal fetish, I think, is the way baby geese will follow whatever the see moving during a certain interval after they are born (I think between something like 16 and 24 hours after birth.

I think that was the premise of the family film "Fly Away Home".

Check out bonobo monkeys..they're crazy sexual creatures and our closest relatives.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
