First of all, you don't believe Jesus is Yahweh. Instead of confessing Jesus Christ is Yahweh/Jehovah, as Romans 10:9 and 1 Corinthians 12:3 states (Lord = Kurios/Jehovah), you have put your faith in man = Charles Taze Russell (1872). Rather than toss this scripture out against 'former JW's', you need to be looking at this passage as looking in a mirror.

Know this that the Word was sent John 6:38; 8:42 as a perfect human being to put to rest the charges made by the rebel Satan/ Adversary as at Genesis and Job 2:4- 5, and to propitiate the forfeited perfect life of Adam, with its resultant death to all Adam's progeny 1 Corinthians 15:45; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23. Since the Word became fully human, although perfect, man was not made to direct his own steps as at Jeremiah 10:23.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
