Why do liberals call themselves "free thinkers" when they all believe the same progressive propaganda?

Why do ultra-conservative call themselves thinkers at all, when all they do is cling to ways of the past and rhetorical one-liners from the intellectually banal likes of Palin and Beck. No one is a totally independent thinker, but I'll take progressive philosophies and policies. G-d forbid we should progress We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are.

No such thing as independent thinker. Everyone is influenced by what they believe or learn.

It's actually funny that you bring that up because every "free thinker" or "independent" i've met is the definition of a republican. Liberals aren't afraid to call themselves democrats, it's always the republicans who find new names for themselves. What did the tea part call itself?

An independent group. What was it? A large group of radical republicans name one independent group that's really liberal.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
