Yes. It is indisputable evidence that Obama is not interested in solving the debt crisis, but only in demonizing the Republicans. The cost, of course, is in a further loss of jobs from the only sector that can create jobs.
You or I will not be creating new jobs. But there is a strategy for thwarting the demonization. First, Republicans have to insist on televising the negotiations over the debt ceiling.
In those negotiations, they have to continually make the point that stopping new taxes will save jobs. If Obama drives us over the fiscal cliff, Republicans in the House have to reinstate the Bush tax rates, and let Obama either let them stand or veto them, forcing new taxes on everyone. Whatever he does, he faces his own debt crisis when he has to meet Republican demands on spending cuts in order to raise the debt ceiling.
Brinkmanship is a game both parties can play. Cheers Bruce.
Liberals have not looked at the math to realize that taxing the rich alone is not going to balance the budget. They just listen to the talking points and fail to research the issues. If you taxed all millionaires and above 100% of their income, they would only finance the government for 3 months.
If you raise the tax levels to what they were in the Clinton era, you would finance close to 9 days. If we are interested in people paying their fair share, then should we not include everyone? That means the people who today pay no taxes be included since they also receive the benefits of the government.
The left has done a good job of selling their lies to the uninformed voters. The republicans need to figure out how to get the truth out.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
