Why do older people have to be especially worried about drug interactions?

Americans over age 65 buy 30% of all prescription medications and 40% of over-the-counter drugs in this country, and they're also the most vulnerable to errors. The odds of having a dangerous drug interaction increase exponentially as you increase your number or drugs you take, obviously. And it happens all too often: a large study at Duke University found that more than one in five older patients were given prescriptions for drugs that could cause dangerous side effects in people over 65.

A few (1 in 25) were given three or more of these drugs at the same time.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
