Why do people take the time to ask Questions, yet rarely vote up or down ANY answers they receive?

My guess is you're probably right! Some people may also be hoping you will click on their profile, read one of their related hubs, and leave a comment...etcThis is especially true when you see someone ask multiple questions within a short time period and they aren't even listed as a "follower" for their own questions! In other instances the asker may not agree with any of the answers they've gotten!

A few have been known to remove their question if they've gotten answers they would rather not have others read to a question they posted...etc.

I wonder the same thing. When I ask as question, I always have the courtesy to go back and either comment or at least rate the answers. I find it rude when people don't.

I also suspect you're right Franyo. I've noticed that even when i've given detailed and genuine answers that I clearly took more than a few seconds to compose and the folks asking the questions never reply they often tend to also be folks that have posted numerous questions in quick succession or over a relatively short time period - Probably a set and forget mentality which I do find a bit annoying and rude. I have no probs trying to genuinely and thoughtfully respond to questions that have been asked in earnest.

Some people may not login every day but I am growing suspicious about those I see continuing to be active posting additional questions and yet somewhat indifferent to their questions that have already been responded to.

Not all peopleOnly people who don't care will ask question, but never rate itThose are not really interested in getting answers, but to increase their hub score.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
