By Richard Malotky Published Sunday, June 14, 2009 I think someone is trying to tell me something. And it's not just that I am a bad turkey hunter. It goes deeper.
This year, every time I go for one of those long walks with my bow, I end up with company. It's gotten so bad that I just don't look up anymore. Every time I do look up, they are there.
The turkey vultures. At first, I thought they might be following me on the outside chance I might actually get a turkey. But then I asked a friend and good turkey hunter about it, and he assured me they don't eat turkeys.
They eat dead things. Preferably things that have ripened a bit. I started to wonder if I was walking with a limp?
I found myself trying to spend more time under the trees. But they always find me anyway. Circling, circling.
I think someone is trying to tell me something. One of my friends has a cattle ranch, and he is kind enough to let me wander around on it. Mainly I think because he knows no critters are even remotely ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
