The Beatles might have influenced "the colonel" to put Elvis into performing in Las Vegas. But "the colonel" is the one who killed Elvis by both limiting his performances to the U.S. (he was an illegal immigrant so he couldn't leave the country because if he did, he'd never get back in), and allowing Elvis to eat as he wished. The combination of the stress and diet resulted in the "king" dying on "his throne" (toilet).
Meanwhile, Elvis could have had the Beatles' popularity merely by touring Europe.
1 Simple..... Elvis--the King of Rock and Roll, triggered off a landslide of R & R pieces... Then the Beatles came along and replaced all that with the "Mersey Sound"... Rock and Roll whithered and was replaced with the "BRITISH INVASION".....Suddenly virtually all the popular music was British imports..

2 Elvis had become an actor in crappy movies and his records were all pulled from the soundtrack and his time was pretty much past when the Beatles appeared on the scene. The Beatles and British Invasion groups offered a fresh, revitalized sound - kind of like Elvis when he started out - and Elvis wound up becoming a Las Vegas lounge singer. Why wouldn't the Beatles and other English groups have more influlence than Elvis - he was washed up.
But I'd hardly blame the Beatles - I'd blame Elvis' manager, Col. Tom Parker who really didn't give a crap about Elvis or his influence and was only interested in making as much money as he could off of him.

3 I saw Elvis as a failure of imagination. He had all that talent and later all that money and still did not know what to do to be happy.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
