Why do white Tea Party Patriots support Herman Cain in the Florida straw poll?

Because Ron Paul is good at winning straw polls because his supporters flock to events, but he has real trouble in state-wide votes. Paul has a small, and very narrow following. Ron Paul supporters can fill a room, but not win a state.

Cain's victory was important because of Rick Perry's poor debate performances, and far-right conservatives, as well as the media, were hoping someone would grab the spotlight. In the same way Bachmann got a big jump after her victory in the Iowa straw poll. Then Mitt Romney won in Michigan, his father's home state.

I think Cain largely won Florida because he is from neighboring Georgia, so that is kind of his stronghold.

Straw polls are jokes, they mean nothing. Paulbots will trumpet his win in Washington today. Big deal 600 paid participants in a religious right caucus and he got 37%.

Really look up straw polls they are nothing. I do not mean you personally. Your question show awareness.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
