Why do women accept fashions that are painful - such as high heels or narrow, pointed shoes?

Appearance Some women are very conscious of their appearance and just have to look long and lean to feel good about themselves. They will bind up their middles with girdles, squeeze their legs into hose that binds and cramp their poor toes into pointy toed high heels. They cut off their circulation, end up with swolen ankles and ugly bunions on their feet.

I think they are trying to impress other women rather than trying to be attractive to men. How attractive can they be if they can't breathe, can't eat and wabble on their high heels by the end of the day? I understand dressing smart but not to the point of destroying my body.To each her own.

They just feel they have to conform to the "image" that the media portrays women as That image being of a woman 5'7" weighing 100 pounds, being a size 0, and having perfect features. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
