In a small effect, yes. However, this is just so they can try to hide the decline in another way, and blame it all on aerosols. Already NASA has published a paper trying to rebut the multitude of papers that show lower sensitivity to CO2 than the IPCC's claim.
They used models to declare that all these other studies got it wrong and the IPCC has it right.
After the World Trade Centre terrorist attack the US government grounded all aircraft for several days. One of the affects of this was the average temperature in the US rose slightly. This was because the aerosols in the high atmosphere from the jet engines were normally blocking out a large percentage of the sunlight that would ordinarily fall of the US.
With the aircraft grounded this sunlight was able to reach the ground and the temperature rose. What these results show is that these air born particulates act like an umbrella for the more industrial areas, But, most of the planet is not industrial, so the average temperature of the world rises.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
