I think if one looks at the media objectively, it's dominated by emotional distraction narratives on most corporate media outlets like CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, Fox, and NBC. Some cater to reason for a few programs, (like MSNBC) then fill a majority or the remaining time slots with corporately-correct fear-based programing such as long stretches of time where MSNBC scares people with the incredibly predictable prison industrial complex promoting program of "Lock-up". Emotionally visceral corporate programming doesn't educate with pertinent information, but tends to distract people from the systemic problems within society both at the local level and by reinforcing national spectacles pushed by national media outlets.
I once had to wait in a waiting room and the morning boredom marathon could not stop spewing non-stop religious narratives I thought that some Iranian-like clerics had taken over GMA and were forcing religious narratives on their viewers for 3 hours that morning and it's not like it was Sunday, it was a weekday. The story involved did not require an abandonment of secular society principles, the same story could have been told without stooping down to the lowest common denominator of religiously dubious emotional narratives. I stopped listening to the radio years ago because even on sports squawk radio, most talking heads can't seem to help themselves and go out of their way to spew anti-moderate, anti-liberal straw-men because I realize that people who listen to sports want the talk to be macho and merciless towards societal weakness stereotypes.
I can only imagine that if someone concludes that the overall media is too liberal, then they're basically outing themselves as an extremely unreasonable hate-centric ideologue.
Oh chewy how biased you are! Intelligent people know they need to read, watch, and discuss all sides of an issue. If you have video of a liberal sounding like a socialist tool then it's pretty obvious - he or she is a tool.
It's just so easy to find so many liberals in the media now days and so much harder to get a conservative perspective. The good thing about that is that it's so easy to find idiot quotes and opinions from the DemocRATs. In response to your comment....most liberals today are socialists.
They truly seem to believe in a massively huge government. Don't you find it to be a cultural disgrace that so many American's are getting some sort of government assistance? End it all except for the mentally challenged and the elderly.
Everyone else needs to pull up those bootstraps. And yes, I know that analogy will drive you nuts.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
