Why does he quality of a woman's family matter less to men than a man's family does to women?

We often hear about women saying how they want a man with a good family, etc, but men, not so much. Yes for some, but for the majority of men, from what I've seen, are okay with just having a nice woman, even if she doesn't have a good family. Women are often told to carefully consider whether the guy has a good family, but men, it's not so higly stressed.
