Why does my Border Collie spin round until she's exhausted whenever I use a drill or food mixer?

Probably because it stresses her out or gets her hyped up. What you can do is bring some positive association with the items. Get the treats and bring out the drill or mixer.

Just set it beside her with it off and just let her smell it and then make her lay down beside it and praise her with a treat.......I would probably do this habitually for a few days then when you feel your ready to move on....get the treats and be prepared to give her a correction command or use your hand like a claw on her neck to stop her from spinning. When you quickly and lightly jab a dog on the neck with your clawed hand it resembles a bite from the pack leader. This is how you should correct your dog.

Everytime he appears he is gonna spin immediately do the correction and when the dog stops give praise and a treat. If the dog doesn't stop then you need to continue to correct him until he realizes you will stop nipping at him when he stops spinning. Or you can grab his collar and but him in a sit position beside you and block him from spinning.....if his body relaxes then give praise......if not then you need to leave blender on and just keep him there and he will get bored and then relax on his own and thats the exact moment you give the praises.

You can use this correction method for any kind of negative or bad behavior.....remember you are the alpha dog and what you say goes. Im a dog trainer and my pit mix has come such a long way since it was a puppy. Half the time I don't even have to speak the command he simply knows what to do by my body language.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
