For us to determine if it was the law, you would need to state what city and state it was in. However, I have not heard of such a law. It may have been their interpretation of a law...or they have had problems with you in the past, or they were suspecting you were going to try to pull something.

It's not the law, it's the result of some harebrained middle manager's fears. Next time insist on your right to take leftovers home without mucking about with "waivers" - or better still, don't patronize that establishment until they cut out the nonsense.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
