The game-changer is "cell phone video". I guess the rest of America thought black people were lying about excessive police brutality against black people. Well, the proof is in the videos, and there are PLENTY of videos to illustrate this point.
As far as other "black" issues getting increased coverage, there isn't enough space to discuss them all here. In the last 20 or 30 years, there has been a sharp rise in the number of single-parent black households, which leads to a whole set of other problems: higher crime rates among black youth, poverty, continuing the cycle of out-of-wedlock childbirths, poorer academic performance, bleak job prospects, etc.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
