It is all a matter of convenience. We use other prefixes like kilo to make it easier to talk about. Saying something is 500,000 m away is rather inconvenient.
However, using too many prefixes is also inconvenient as you would have to convert them all the time. For example: First I'll walk for 5 m, then I'll run for 7 hm, take a drive for 9 km, throw a ball 3 dm, etc... This would be easier if it had less different types of prefixes. That is why several prefixes aren't used often as they don't really add something, like dm and hm.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
