Why don't Christians women wear the Hijab although Mary wore it?

Try to know the truth and accept the truth - Surah Al Imran (the Family of Imran): 42. ‘O Maryam (Mary), surely Allah has chosen you and has blessed you with purity and has exalted you today over all the women of the world. 43.

O Maryam (Mary)! Obey your Lord consistently with utmost humbleness, prostrate yourself and bow down in worship along with those who bow down. ’ 44.

(O Beloved!) These are news of the Unseen which We reveal to you. But (at that time) you were not present with them when they were casting their pens (by way of a draw to determine) which of them should take care of Maryam (Mary). Nor were you with them when they were disputing with one another.

‘O Maryam (Mary), surely, Allah gives you glad tidings of a (particular) Word from Him named the Messiah, ‘Isa son of Maryam (Jesus son of Mary), who would be eminent and exalted (both) in this world and in the Hereafter and would be of those who are exceptionally intimate servants of Allah blessed with His nearness. 46. And he will talk to the people (alike) both in the cradle and in ripe years, and he will be one of the pious servants (of Allah).

’ 47. Maryam (Mary) submitted: ‘O my Lord, how shall I have a son when no man has ‘Just as Allah creates what He pleases.’ When He decides (to do) some work, He just gives it the Command ‘Be,’ and it becomes. 48.

And Allah will teach him the Book and the Wisdom, the Torah and the Injil (the Gospel everything). 49. And he will be a Messenger to the Children of Israel, (saying to them:) ‘I have undoubtedly brought to you a Sign from your Lord: I design for you from clay (a figure) like the shape of a bird; then I breathe into it; and at once it becomes a flying bird by Allah’s Command.

And I restore to health the born blind, and the lepers, and raise the dead to life by the Command of Allah. And I inform you of (all) what you have eaten and what you have hoarded in your houses. Truly, there is a ’.

Shiver says: ***Muslims women wear it to protect themselves from the gaze of men. *** Obviously, Muslim men need to practice what the Quran says since Allah first commanded men to lower their gaze...so corrupted has Islam become that you would mention only the woman's obligation while completely forgetting the man's. Yet, it is the non-practicing Muslim man who is to be the teacher of the Muslim woman and who is empowered by Allah to whip the Muslim woman even though he proves repeatedly it is he who is the one who needs to learn the ways of the Quran from her...right ladies?

So are you suggesting that gangs of Muslim women beat Muslim men who dishonor Allah and the Quran in the absence of Muslim men's willingness to obey the Quran in this as well...as Muslim men kill Muslim women in "honor killings"? Isn't it obvious that Muslim woman follow Allah and Quran much more closely than Muslim men through Islam's history starting with Khadijah bint Khuwaylid who hired the prophet as her employee and ask him to marry her without her father's or grandfather's consent? Khadijah bint Khuwaylid was also able to protect herself so she could care for herself as well as the guys.

A corpse and an empty shell is all the protection a woman needs to prove she didn't want to be raped. She doesn't need to get the names and numbers of the 4 guys standing around watching her get raped that way. Not only is this a great deal less painful...for her...but it eliminates the risk of having to depend on a Muslim man to care for a Muslim woman without the hope of having sex.

Are you that shallow in your faith or are you suggesting everyone who wears a head covering is a Muslim woman who is following Mary who witnessed the resurrection of Jesus?

After all, isn't it the resurrection of Jesus the reason Christian women are called Christian? Of course, and Christ looks at the heart of a person to determine if she is a follower...not whether she wore something on her head. Hope this helps.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
